BANDIT INDUSTRIES TAKES ON A MICHIGAN MADE ENERGY REDUCTION PROJECT

Bandit Industries, located in Remus, Michigan is one of the worlds largest manufacturers of wood and waste processing equipment.  Bandit Industries has begun a multi phase project with Keen Technical Solutions to reduce energy consumption through the installation of Michigan Made LED lighting and controls systems.

Phase one has been completed.  This first phase included replacing old T12 Flourescent plant lighting with cutting edge LED lighting with integrated controls.  The new lights have improved work conditions and consume less energy, while the control system cuts the run time hours in half.

"This phase will reduce Bandit Industries electrical consumption by 2.6 million kilowatt hours over 20 years which equates to approximately $600,000 in savings.  This is the environmental equivalent of planting 480 acres of trees, and removing 420 cars from the roads, and saving 214,240 gallons of gasoline.  Thats significant!" said Keen CEO Stephen Morse.

Louie Jensen of Bandit was happy to choose KEEN as a partner in this project.  "The guys worked extremely hard.  The install was clean and smooth and went exactly as planned.  We also are enjoying a tremendous improvement in workplace lighting."

Keen looks forward to continuing our partnership with Bandit Industries in their quest to reduce energy consumption.  Bandit Industries is also a member of Proud to Manufacture in Michigan
